How male volleyball players are evaluated

Volleyball players are evaluated on their stats, scoring ability and performance when the pressure is on.  You need to consistently react quickly and be able to direct the volleyball to any open spot on the court.

Coaches want volleyball players who have attended recognized training camps and played in regional or national tournaments.  Real experience in important competitions shows a college coach that you have what it takes to perform when the pressure is on.

Academic requirements for college volleyball recruits

Volleyball players who want to continue at the college level need at least a 3.0 GPA and a minimum score of 1000 out of 1600 on their SATs to even be considered eligible.  However, the higher your grades are, the better your chances will be because coaches look for players who take their education just as serious as volleyball.

Why men’s college volleyball camps matter

Volleyball camps and showcases are great ways to improve your skills while increasing your exposure.  You will be playing against the best in the country, so it will inspire you to also perform at your best.  These camps also show coaches that you are serious about volleyball and that you are ready to take it to the next level.

Don’t miss out on your chance to play volleyball in college by skipping any of the high profile showcases.  You could end up missing the chance of meeting your future coach!
